Built for badminton players who want an easier way to play more games

With Sportify, you can:
Find badminton games by location, timing, and skill level
See what a game is really like before joining by knowing the skill level, number players, and expectations upfront
Contact the organiser easily on WhatsApp with game details auto-filled
The vision
Make sports games easier to join so more people can play, connect, and stay healthy.
Why we are working on this
Badminton interest is high but access hasn't kept up.
Public courts are heavily oversubscribed.
When courts canβt be secured, players turn to informal chat groups filled with 600+ messages daily, which are hard to navigate, intimidating for newcomers, and easy to miss out on.
As a result, many players who want to play regularly end up playing less, not because of lack of interest, but lack of a community to join.
This is the moment to act because:
Demand already exists, people are actively looking for games today (e.g. 48k users on Facebook, 16k users on Telegram).
Small improvements in discovery and clarity can unlock existing, underused games.

What weβre seeing
When using the platform, players were able to easily find games that matched their timing and skill level. They could reach out to hosts without needing extra clarification.
Overall, players preferred this over searching through Telegram or Facebook groups. Some players shared that they avoid Telegram due to high message volume (e.g. 600+ messages daily), though a few continue using it because of the larger supply of games.
Players who join ad hoc games often cite difficulty securing courts and difficulty matching schedules with friends. Ad hoc games give them a way to play more often, even without a regular group.
Players want more visibility into who else is joining, especially to better match by skill level and demographics.
